Pre-Start Checklist ✅

Before getting started, make sure you have the following items at the ready:

  • A printer
  • A Windows computer or server plugged into your printer
  • Access to a Salesforce Org

1. Create a PrintNode Account

Read What is PrintNode? to understand what it is and why it's important.

2. Install PrintNode on a Windows Computer Connected to your Printer

Once logged in, download PrintNode for Windows or your respective configuration.

Open PrintNode on your computer.

Log in. Printers Should automatically connect. To check that your printers are showing up, navigate back to PrintNode in the browser and click on "Devices" tab. If those devices appear, you have successfully connected your printers.

3. Install and Configure Print in Salesforce

Keep the PrintNode tab open. In a separate tap, Start the install process.

Install Print in your preferred Salesforce Org.

Once installed, open the app in Salesforce by searching for and navigating to the "Print" app.

Open PrintNode and click on "API KEYS".

Generate and copy the api key from PrintNode.

Back in Salesforce in the Print app, past in the api key and click "Validate".

Set the "GET COMPUTER INTERVAL" and "PRINT JOB INTERVAL" to 60 and click "Schedule Jobs".

Refresh the page to see computers and devices loaded into Salesforce.
